3 Easy Summer Cocktail Recipes to Do at Home
July is finally here and you have probably just moved into a new home like thousands of Montrealers! We know that buying a home include a lot of paperwork and this is why notaries are here to help as shown in the following infographic. We moved into a new home earlier this year and since the sun is back we love hosting family and friends on our terrace.
Serving Rosé is a safe option but why not stepping out of your comfort zone this summer and try refreshing cocktail recipes? No doubt, you will surprise your guests! We recently tasted 3 summer cocktails elaborated by mixologist Étienne Bay and made of Dandy Gin and Rouge Gorge Blanc both crafted by Domaine Lafrance. We are very excited to share those delicious and easy recipes with you!
The Dandy Gin is obtained from the distillation of spirits composed of apples, grapes, and pears. The result is very soft and this is why it is easy to use in a recipe.
We made slight changes to the original Dandy Fizz recipe to feature a vegan version of this cocktail. We replaced honey by maple syrup and the egg white by few drops of Ms. Better’s Bitters Miraculous Vegan Foamer. It sounds like this ingredient could be straight out of a wizard’s playbook but not at all, it is just a blend of 3 different plants that were macerated in a neutral alcohol. It works so well without changing the taste of your cocktail. Here are the list of ingredients and the instructions to prepare the Dandy Fizz:
Ingredients:
2 oz Dandy Gin
¾ oz maple syrup
¾ oz yuzu juice
¾ oz coco cream
¾ oz pear nectar
¼ pipette Miraculous Vegan Foamer
Kombucha
Slices of dehydrated lemon
Instructions:
In a shaker, vigorously shake together the Dandy Gin, the pear nectar, the maple syrup, the yuzu juice, the coconut cream and the Miraculous Vegan Foamer. Add ice and stir again until mixture is cold. Filter into a previously cooled Gin glass. Add kombucha and decorate with a slice of dehydrated lemon.
The Rouge Gorge Blanc is a white cider vermouth infused with absinth, elderberry flower, fennel, savory, gentian root and a blend of herbs and spices. This easy-to-drink vermouth can be either enjoyed on ice with a twist of lemon or added to a cocktail recipe. Here are 2 revisited versions of Sangria to enjoy this summer: the Pear and Ginger Sangria, and the Mint and Grapefruit Sangria.
Ingredients:
6 oz Rouge Gorge Blanc
4 oz pear nectar
1 ½ oz lemon juice
6 oz ginger beer
3 dashes bitter celery
1 L tonic soda
Instructions:
Mix the ingredients in a 60-oz pitcher; add tonic soda and garnish with fresh sage leaves.
Ingredients:

1 ½ oz lemon juice
3 oz maple syrup
3 dashes bitter orange and juniper
1 L tonic soda

The Pear Ginger Sangria is our favorite! The mix of ginger beer and lemon juice adds a little je ne sais quoi, and we simply love it. We wish you to have a great time this summer with your family and friends, and remember to drink with moderation :)!
