The Lyric Theatre Singers – Hello Broadway
The Lyric Theatre Singers presents Hello Broadway at Concordia University’s DB Clarke Theatre until June 17. Created by Bob Bachelor and Cathy Burns, this new musical theatre revue is an assortment of Broadway’s most memorable moments. On stage, a strong cast of forty performers and five musicians give an outstanding show while interpreting Broadway’s famous songs.
The play debuts with a mini-musical presentation of Once Upon A Mattress followed by an homage to composer Jule Styne (Funny Girl, Gypsy, Bells Are Ringing) ranks as one of the undisputed architects of the American musical theater. The cast ends the act one with a classic touch by singing Circle of Life composed by Elton John for Disney’s 1994 animated film The Lion King.
In act two, the tribute to Jule Styne continues with titles such as All I Need Is The Girl, Just In Time, Don’t Rain On My Parade and much more. Switching from past to present, the performers brilliantly entertain the audience with vibrant voices and dynamic choreographies from beginning to end.
Hello Broadway is not The Lyric Theatre Singers’ last performance of the year, join them for Candlelight Christmas from December 7 to 10 at Loyola Chapel (Concordia University). Tickets will be available this Fall, for more informations please visit Lyrictheatrecompany.com.
