Skin Treatments at Dermalogica Montreal
Founded in 1986 by Jane Wurwand, Dermalogica products are free of common irritants and ingredients that could cause breakouts such as mineral oil, artificial colors and fragrances. In addition to Face Mapping at Skin Bar (5 minutes, complimentary), Dermalogica store located in Montreal Old Port offers 3 treatments: MicroZone Treatments, IonActive Power Treatment and Dermalogica Skin Treatment.
The Dermalogica MicroZone Treatment addresses the top skin concerns in a quick and efficient mode. During the 20 minutes appointment, the skin therapist analyzes your skin, then performs a targeted treatment using exclusive techniques such as the Dermalogica Double Cleanse routine.
The IonActive Power Treatment combines thermal activity and the latest treatment-room technology to optimize product penetration into your skin. This 45 minutes treatment is composed from up to six professional formulas and two gels. Based on an initial Face Mapping, the skin therapist will assess which combination of formulas and gels is ideal for your skin.
One week ago, I experienced for the first time the Dermalogica Skin Treatment. As a new client, I was invited to fill a form about my medical conditions then the appointment has started with a discussion about my skin care routine followed by the Face Mapping to analyze my skin in depth and to design the appropriate treatment.
This 60 minutes treatment is totally customized to your skin’s needs and it’s different every single time depending your skin condition. That being said, each treatment includes Dermalogica Double Cleanse routine, exfoliation, high frequency or Galvanic modalities, extractions, mask, toner and skin protection.
After the treatment, the skin therapist presents and explains the customized skin health prescription. On my Face Mapping, the skin therapist identified dehydrated and hyperpigmented zones. For my concerns, she prescribed the following products: Special Cleansing Gel, Daily Microfoliant and PowerBright TRx (C-12 Pure Bright Serum, Pure Light and Pure Night).
